Weekend Destinations Near Manila

Are you looking for the greatest overnight spots near Manila for a weekend getaway? We have you covered!

Here's a list of options for a family weekend getaway near Manila, a cheap romance vacation near Manila, or just a fast weekend break from Manila! Traveling is one method to spend your rest day if you are exhausted and stressed from work. You'll be energized to tackle Monday after a peaceful weekend.

The plague that confined everyone to their homes for two years has already passed. Many people learned that they could dance, sing, and act when pent up (thanks, TikTok). Regardless of these new passions, nothing can ever compare to the thrill of traveling the road, meeting new people, and discovering hidden gems. Thankfully, things are gradually returning to normal, allowing you to travel once more.

For a change, Baguio, Tagaytay, and Subic aren't on the list. Regardless, each of these road trip sites near Manila will provide an enjoyable experience. Here are some places you can go with family take a bonding and rest.

Pagsanjan and Lumban, Laguna

Pagsanjan is famed for its falls (which are really in Cavinti), but it also has other intriguing things to do. Take pictures in front of the Arco Real, the town's welcome arch. The rustic look of this edifice indicates that it was built about 1880. The historic Our Lady of Guadalupe Church is well worth a visit. If you're looking for a weekend retreat, there are plenty of luxurious villas to choose from, with some offering spectacular views of the Pagsanjan River. Why not go to Pagsanjan's neighboring town while you're there? If you're looking for a Barong Tagalog, head to Lumban. Pedal your way to Lake Caliraya if you're a cyclist. You may also find your zen at the Japanese Garden.

Resorts in Pansol, Calamba, Laguna

Summer vacation in the spring? That may seem paradoxical, but the number of people going to Pansol, Calamba, Laguna throughout the summer will surprise you. The thermal waters in the country's Resort Capital may soothe your muscles and relieve tension. However, if you're searching for a cool pool, this is the place to go. Hot and cold pools are available in resorts and vacation homes, and you may make specific arrangements with the owner before visiting.

Silang, Cavite

In Silang, you can also see two famous churches. If you're looking for 16th century artwork and sculpture, head to the Our Lady of Candelaria Parish Church, which has 300-year-old artifacts. San Antonio de Padua, a popular wedding church, is the other must-see church. Silang is also a shopping paradise, as seen by Acienda Designer Outlet's presence. Tagaytay frequently overshadows Silang. However, it is just as pleasant and cool as its sister city, so keep it in mind for your next road trip near Manila.

It features a number of farms where visitors may learn about how vegetables and fruits are grown. Some of them even serve as a fresh food market. Gourmet Farms, Ilog Maria, and Teofely Nature Farm are the most popular. There are also many charming cafés and eateries to photograph for Instagram. Café Agapita, Concha's Garden Café, and Balin-sasayaw Restaurant are among them.

Minalungao National Park (General Tinio, Nueva Ecija)

More than rice fields may be seen in Nueva Ecija! If you're looking for underappreciated tourist attractions in the Philippines, head to this province and see the Minalungao National Park. The turquoise-colored sea of this paradise is surrounded by limestone cliffs.

You may float along the river and swim wherever you like. You may also go cliff diving or enjoy a picnic. If you want a better perspective of the river and the rock formations, climb up to the hanging bridge.

Mount Daraitan (Tanay, Rizal)

Mount Daraitan in Tanay, Rizal, is an excellent road trip near Manila whether you're serious about trekking or just inquisitive about the excitement. After the hike, you may proudly tell your friends that you've climbed the Sierra Madre (although, technically, Mount Daraitan is part of the Sierra Madre). The adventure doesn't end when you reach the peak. You might want to stop at the Tinipak River on your way down. The river is picturesque, with its almost emerald-green waters and accompanying rock formations.

Taal Heritage Town, Batangas

When it comes to historic houses and Spanish beauty, Vigan may be the first location that springs to mind. But you don't have to drive for 12 hours simply to see these things. The Taal Heritage Town is an excellent comparable road trip location near Manila. The historic homes in this charming village have been properly conserved. Simply glancing at them transports you to the magnificence of the town during the Spanish era. Fortunately, some of the mansions may be toured for a price. So, spend a day at Casa Villavicencio or Casa V as a Don.

If you have time, walk about Casa V to observe the clever blend of European aesthetics with Pinoy sensibility. The Minor Basilica of Saint Martin of Tours, often known as the Taal Basilica, is one of the town's prominent attractions. It is believed to be the Philippines' and Asia's biggest Catholic church, having been built in 1572. Its architecture is breathtaking. But wait till you enter, since the interiors will remind you of the Vatican's beautiful cathedrals. Go on a small gastronomic journey while you're in town and sample tapang Taal and tawilis for lunch.

Beach Resorts in Isla Verde, Batangas

When it comes to Batangas beaches, packed resorts are the first thing that comes to mind. That is certainly the true for renowned beach resorts such as Anilao, Nasugbu, and Laiya.

In Batangas, however, there are several lesser-known beach resorts worth visiting. Many of them may be found on the remote island of Isla Verde (also known as Verde Island), which is famed for its rich marine life. The island is ideal for diving or snorkeling to explore the ocean's depths.

Corregidor Island, Cavite

Corregidor is a historic island off the coast of Bataan (note that this is part of Cavite City). The relics will show you that this island played an essential role during WWII. History lovers and visitors looking to get away from the metro's bustle will like the stark remnants of military barracks and the eerie atmosphere of tunnels. Because the attractions are located on a high point, you will be able to see the beautiful sea and portion of the island. Remember to photograph the sunset in Corregidor.
